The Ocean

I have never seen the ocean in real life.
I have only seen the ocean move in my dreams.
I know the ocean to be calm and powerful.
Water ripping the land at the seems.

The pictures I have seen are amazing.
But there is one Ocean that dwarfs the rest.
The beauty that this Ocean brings,
Puts my silent heart to the test.

The Ocean talks to me in silent words
Her voice I am longing to hear.
If the earth can provide something this gorgeous,
Then there is nothing on earth to fear.
